What inspires your work on ending childhood sexual violence?
As a survivor of childhood sexual violence and more so in Uganda, a country where sexual related topics are still taboo and stigmatization and victim blame are the norm of the day, I understand the mental toll sexual abuse has on a person… (female). Now as a mother, strive to make the world a better place for children. Allowing them to enjoy their childhood without the traumas of sexual violence.
One highlight from your experience in the SPROUT fellowship:
Meeting like-minded and very passionate group of youth was the highlight for me. Everyone was so passion driven and wanted all to see changes and are actually working towards the change they want to see. Coming up with a shared vision and the need to build a community.
