Current Professional Engagement: I am a project coordinator at Maisha Girls Safe House, where we provide temporary shelter for teenage survivors of sexual violence. My role is to ensure that survivors of sexual violence are able to access quality essential services. I am also involved in SGBV prevention work where we raise awareness and sensitize communities.
What inspires your work on ending childhood sexual violence?
My work is inspired by the resilience of child survivors and the urgency to end their suffering. I believe in collective action to amplify our voices against this vice. Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to thrive, and I hope for a future free from childhood sexual violence.
One highlight from your experience in the SPROUT fellowship
The in-person convening in Kenya was a powerful moment—young changemakers from diverse backgrounds sharing ideas, vulnerabilities, and experiences. Witnessing their dedication to ending childhood sexual violence was inspiring and reinforced my belief in collective action to create safer communities for children.
